CNR Celebrates Founder’s Day with Lecture Series

The College of New Rochelle Office of Mission & Identity will host a two-part lecture series and panel discussion examining the current economic turbulence in light of the teaching of Catholic social justice as part of its annual Founder’s Day Celebration in October. 

On Thursday, October 22, 2009, Dr. Christine Firer Hinze, professor of theology at Fordham University, will present “Follow the Women: Charting Paths to Economic Justice for All,” and on Friday, October 23, 2009, Cardinal Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiaga, SDB, Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, will address “Issues of Catholic Social Justice.” 

A third related event “Caritas and Capitalism,” a discussion featuring a panel of distinguished CNR faculty and staff, will take place on Monday November 9, 2009.
