ROCHELLE TO HOST SEMINARS
ON
CHILD ABUSE RECOGNITION AND REPORTING
NEW
ROCHELLE, NY, August 29, 2006 -- From 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
September 13 and Wednesday, November 15, The College of New Rochelle
will offer a seminar on “Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting”
conducted by Arlene Louis, Ed.D., RN, CS at its main campus in New
Rochelle. They will be held at CNR’s Student Campus Center in the
Iselin Room.
These
seminars are sponsored by The College of New Rochelle and approved by
the New York State Education Department. They are designed for licensed
professionals, teachers, and school administrators who are required to
identify and report child abuse. The seminars will cover the physical
and behavioral indicators of child abuse, maltreatment, and the
statutory reporting requirements. Upon completion of the seminar,
attendees will receive certification from the state of New York.
The cost
is $50 per person; pre-registration is required. Seminars are
contingent upon enrollment. The registration deadlines are September 6
