Chapel Choir
Director/Organist

The College of New
Rochelle, a culturally diverse liberal arts institution in Westchester
County, seeks a part-time organist and director for our Chapel Choir
for the 2008-09 academic year. In this ten-month position, the
Chapel Choir director will collaborate with the director of Campus
Ministry in planning and providing music for a weekly 11:00am Sunday
Catholic Eucharistic Liturgy, as well as holy days. S/he will
also direct and oversee the Chapel Choir at weekly choir rehearsals,
and supervise the facilitation of an annual concert. In addition,
the Choir Director must be available to play the organ for academic
events throughout the year, as needed. If you are a strong
musician, have experience in liturgical music and leading choirs, and
would enjoy working with dedicated and enthusiastic singers drawn from
our faith community, then we want you to join our Campus Ministry team.
The College is located on a beautiful suburban campus 16 miles north of
midtown Manhattan and easily accessible by public transportation.

College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order.
Today,
it comprises the all-women School of Arts & Sciences, and three
schools
which admit women and men: the School of New Resources (for adult
learners),
the School of Nursing and the Graduate School. The main campus of
the College is located in lower Westchester County, 16 miles north of
