Staff Assistant – Graduate Education Center
We’re looking for the
perfect person to join the staff of our Graduate Education Center.
If you have great
interpersonal and computer skills, like organizing and working on
projects to completion, and would enjoy a work schedule that ends at
noon on Friday, then we want you to join our team.
The Graduate Education
Center is a resource for graduate students studying to be teachers,
psychologists, and counselors. It offers a lending library (for pre-K
to elementary students) testing materials (educational, psychological
and career) and also offers a reading, educational and testing service
to the public for young students who come to the Center for evaluation
and remediation. The Staff Assistant will communicate the
services and materials offered by the Center to graduate students,
parents, the local community, faculty and staff. The Staff
Assistant will also work collaboratively with the Education Center
director to provide a student-friendly environment, maintain the
inventory of testing and remedial materials, and collect fees and track
the budget. S/he will also coordinate the use of the Center according
to class schedules and support the external placement operation of the
Center.
This is a full-time
position and the hours are from 10:30am – 7:30pm, Monday – Thursday,
and 9am – 12noon on Friday.
The Graduate School is
one of four schools of the College and offers degree programs in
Education, Human Services and Art and Communication Studies to a
student population of approximately 1,200 women and men. The College of
New Rochelle is located on a beautiful suburban campus 16 miles north
of midtown Manhattan and close to Long Island Sound. A Catholic
