Assistant Dean for
Administration
The
Graduate School of The College of New Rochelle seeks an experienced
administrator for the Assistant Dean for Administration position
available immediately. The Graduate School has an outstanding
reputation and we are proud of our dynamic programs, student-centered
focus, and small classes.
Join
our team of dedicated professionals. Our beautiful 20-acre campus is
located in Westchester County near Long Island Sound, and is easily
accessible to midtown Manhattan by car or public transportation.
Reporting
to the dean, the responsibilities for this position include:
Managing the Dean’s Office to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity,
and accuracy as well as provide a welcoming and student friendly
environment; Supervising the Dean’s office staff and daily office
management; Oversight of e-timesheets for Graduate School staff;
Responding to all student issues and grade grievances brought to the
Dean’s office; Organize and participate in weekly administrative team
meetings and monthly Graduate School faculty and staff meetings; Serve
as liaison for all special event planning and manage all aspects of
events; Maintain and promote ongoing collegial relationships with
campus-wide departments; Respond to the needs of the faculty, staff and
other offices within the school; Work collaboratively with the
Associate Dean.
The
successful candidate must have a Master’s degree; a proven record
of success in educational administration; must be a well organized and
a dynamic communicator with effective problem-solving skills.

The Graduate School
The Graduate School, founded in 1969 in response to the needs of
working professionals, offers Master’s degree programs in the areas of
Education, Human Services, and Art and Communication Studies.
Certificates and professional diplomas are also offered in selected
professional areas.
The Graduate School offers the Master of Science in Education degree in
the fields of Childhood Education, Creative Teaching and Learning
(Gifted Education), Early Childhood Education, Literacy Education,
Multilingual/Multicultural Education (TESOL), Special Education; it
offers the Master of Science degree in the fields of Art Therapy, Art
Therapy Counseling, Career Development, Communication Studies,
Educational Leadership, Guidance and Counseling, Gerontology, Mental
Health Counseling, School Psychology, and Studio Art; it offers the
Master of Arts degree in Art Education. Advanced graduate certificate
programs are offered in Bilingual Education, Communication Studies,
Creative Teaching and Learning (Gifted Extension), Guidance and
Counseling, School Building Leader, and Thanatology (Grief Counseling).
A School District Leader Professional Diploma program is also
available.

The first Catholic
college for women in New York State,
The
College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order.
Today,
it comprises the all-women School of Arts & Sciences, and three
schools
which admit women and men: the School of New Resources (for adult
learners),
the School of Nursing and the Graduate School. The main campus of
the College is located in lower Westchester County, 16 miles north of
New York City. The College maintains five other campus locations
in New York
City.
