Assistant Dean for
Co-Sponsored Programs (non-faculty)
The Graduate School of The College of New Rochelle seeks an experienced
administrator for the Assistant Dean for Co-Sponsored Programs position
available immediately. The Graduate School has an outstanding
reputation and we are proud of our dynamic programs, student-centered
focus, and small classes.
In our
collaborative, co-sponsored program, the College works with
Teacher Centers around the state to offer professional development
courses for teachers, predominately in the areas of Educational
Leadership and Teacher Education.
Join
our team of dedicated professionals. Our beautiful 20-acre campus
is located in Westchester County near Long Island Sound, and is easily
accessible to midtown Manhattan by car or public transportation.
Reporting to the dean, the responsibilities for this position include:
leading and managing the cosponsored programs; recruiting and
developing cosponsoring sites; working collaboratively with the
Associate Dean; maintaining and advancing the academic quality of all
programs and courses offered at cosponsoring sites by approving all
courses and evaluating all faculty; keeping accurate records of
courses, sites, and credits; preparing periodic reports and
participating in budget planning; supervising staff working in the
office of cosponsored programs; maintaining appropriate community and
professional contacts; maintaining an efficient and effective
management and budget system; consulting with the registrar and bursar
to ensure proper and timely registration and tuition payments; and
participating as a member of the GRS Enrollment Management Committee in
program planning and development.
The
successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in education or
educational administration; must have a proven record of success in
educational administration and college teaching; must be knowledgeable
about NY state requirements for certification; and must have effective
interpersonal communication skills.

The Graduate School
The Graduate School, founded in 1969 in response to the needs of
working professionals, offers Master’s degree programs in the areas of
Education, Human Services, and Art and Communication Studies.
Certificates and professional diplomas are also offered in selected
professional areas.
The Graduate School offers the Master of Science in Education degree in
the fields of Childhood Education, Creative Teaching and Learning
(Gifted Education), Early Childhood Education, Literacy Education,
Multilingual/Multicultural Education (TESOL), Special Education; it
offers the Master of Science degree in the fields of Art Therapy, Art
Therapy Counseling, Career Development, Communication Studies,
Educational Leadership, Guidance and Counseling, Gerontology, Mental
Health Counseling, School Psychology, and Studio Art; it offers the
Master of Arts degree in Art Education. Advanced graduate certificate
programs are offered in Bilingual Education, Communication Studies,
Creative Teaching and Learning (Gifted Extension), Guidance and
Counseling, School Building Leader, and Thanatology (Grief Counseling).
A School District Leader Professional Diploma program is also
available.

The first Catholic
college for women in New York State,
The
College of New Rochelle was founded in 1904 by the Ursuline Order.
Today,
it comprises the all-women School of Arts & Sciences, and three
schools
which admit women and men: the School of New Resources (for adult
learners),
the School of Nursing and the Graduate School. The main campus of
the College is located in lower Westchester County, 16 miles north of
New York City. The College maintains five other campus locations
in New York
City.
