Economics Requirements
ECO 101 and ECO 102 are prerequisites for all course work in the department.

The major in Economics leads to the B.A. degree. The requirements for the major include a minimum of 36 (or a maximum of 42) credits in Economics courses. In addition to elective courses, every Economics major must take the following courses:
ECO 101 Principles of Microeconomics
ECO 102 Principles of Macroeconomics
ECO 106 Environmental Economics
ECO 240 Money and Banking
ECO 253 International Economics
ECO 485 Independent Study
MTH 117 Elementary Statistics
ECO 390 Junior Reading Seminar
ECO 490 Senior Research Seminar
ECO 491 Senior Thesis

Minor (18 Credits)
A student may minor in Economics by completing 18 credits in Economics, including ECO 101, ECO 102, ECO 106, and 9 credits in Economics courses at the 200 level or above.
