Co-op City Campus - The Bronx


Established in 1973, the Co-op City Campus of the School of New Resources moved to its current location on Co-op City Boulevard in 1996. The the majority of its students are from the immediate area, but the campus also serves residents of other parts of the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island.

The campus emphasizes user-friendly technologies, and features computer-assisted classrooms and labs, a tech-based learning skills center, video conference seminars, and a multimedia conference center. The Irene Gill Memorial Library at the Co-op City Campus provides a wide variety of print and online resources, as well as full research assistance.

By Car

The Co-op City Campus is very close to I-95. From north of the Bronx, take I-95 Exit 13 to Conner Street / Baychester Avenue. Merge onto Hollers Avenue, then take the first left onto Conner Street. Continue onto Pear Tree Avenue, then turn right onto Co-op City Boulevard. The campus, with plenty of parking, will be less than a quarter-mile on the right.

From south of the Bronx, take I-95 Exit 11 toward Bartow Avenue / Co-op City Boulevard. Make a slight right onto The Mall at Bay Plaza, then turn left onto Co-op City Boulevard. The campus will be 1.2 miles on the right.

By Public Transportation

From the Gun Hill Road station, accessible via the 2 and 5 trains, take the Bx28 bus to campus.

The Bx26 bus, which runs between Bedford Park and Co-op City, also stops by the campus.

From Pelham Bay Park on the 6 train, take the QBX Co-op City Section I-IV bus to campus.

From Westchester, take the #45 bus to Pelham Bay Park, then take the QBX Co-op City Section I-IV bus to campus.
