Thoughout the academic year, Counseling Services hold programs in support of National Depression Day, National Alcohol Awareness Day and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Counseling Services also offer smaller workshops and programs in convenient gathering places on campus, such as the residence halls. Counseling Services staff and guest speakers who are experts in their fields facilitate discussions on various topics, including conflict resolution, stress management, alcohol and substance abuse, body image, eating disorders, and healthy relationships.
Counseling Services collaborates with Resident Assistants, Student Organizations, Clubs, and any group of students interested in learning more about a particular topic. Students are encouraged to suggest topics of interest and to work with the Counseling Services staff to develop relevant and useful presentations.
