The Peer Ministry program provides an opportunity for student leaders to assist the Office of Campus Ministry in its work of faith development, service, and peace and justice offerings.
Peer Ministers are student leaders who engage in deep, personal reflection on their relationship with God. They are concerned with God’s ongoing revelation in their own lives and in the world. In order to discern God’s action in the world, Peer Ministers reach out to fellow students and journey with them as they strive to incorporate the beliefs of each person’s faith tradition into daily life.
Students of any and all faith communities are welcome to apply. After undergoing a rigorous training period, Peer Ministers take on the responsibilities of:
coordinating volunteer activities
planning and implementing prayer services
remaining available to peers who come to them with questions
serving as liaisons between students and the Campus Ministry Office
The Peer Ministry team is integral in the work of Campus Ministry. With support and training, these student leaders become a hospitable presence to their peers and are highly esteemed by staff and students alike. Students of any and all faith communities are welcome to download an application or request more information.
