May 7, 2013: Singles Housing Day

May 7, 2013: LLC Housing Day
3 p.m.-5 p.m.
May 10, 2013: General
& Themed Housing Day
11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Students who want to live on campus must be registered for the upcoming fall semester and have all outstanding residence hall fines paid in full in order to participate in housing selection. If you are selecting a double room, you and your roommate will select together. Students who want to live in a double, but who do not have a roommate must wait until the students with full doubles have chosen housing. You must still arrive on time for the area you wish to live in. Check out the Housing Selection is easy as 1, 2, 3 flyer for more housing selection details.
Important note: If you are selecting a room with a roommate during your specific housing selection day, the lower number of the two determines when you should arrive. This will be the time when you choose your room together. For example, if your number is 200 and your roommate's lottery number is 280, you must both arrive at the time scheduled for number 200. It is highly suggested that you arrive five minutes early. If you are selecting during living-learning community selection day you arrive according to the time required for that community. Once here, you will choose in lottery number order using the lower of the numbers.
If you are unable to attend room selection, you can complete a Proxy Form and give it to your roommate to select your room for you. If you do not have a roommate, you can complete a Proxy Form and ask a friend to select your room for you.
Tuesday May 7, 2013: Senior Housing in Angela Hall ONLY Selection Day
If you are interested in living in senior housing located in Angela Hall, you must arrive to Housing Selection on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 on the 2nd floor of the SSC at the designated time. Students will then be taken in order of their lottery number.
Students who are interested in Angela Hall must have at least 87 credits (including your spring credits). The process for selecting housing in Angela is slightly different since the rooms are arranged in suites. Click here for more information regarding the process for selecting a suite in Angela Hall.
Tuesday, May 7, 2013: Singles Housing Selection
If you are interested in living in a single room, you must arrive to Housing Selection on Tuesday May 7, 2013 on the 2nd floor of the SSC at the designated time. Students will then be taken in order of their lottery number.
Tuesday, May 7, 2013: Living-Learning Community Housing Selection Day
Current Residents, if you are interested in any of our Living-Learning Communities and have signed the intentions list, you must arrive to Housing Selection on May 7, 2013 on the 2nd floor of the SSC at the designated time. Selection times are based on the community you want to live in. You must arrive on time to ensure that you do not miss your turn. You will select housing beginning with students who can fill a double in lottery number order. If you are not in attendance when your number is called you will have to wait until the end of the day to choose your housing.
Friday, May 10, 2013: General (Traditional) Housing Selection Day
Students who want to live in Traditional Housing outside of a living-learning community should arrive at the time that is indicated for your lottery number. Remember, you arrive at the time for the lottery number that is lowest between you and your roommate. At that time, you will proceed through room selection beginning with students who can fill a double in lottery number order. Once the students with full doubles have chosen, students who do not have a roommate and are choosing a double alone will then select housing.
If you want to live in the Traditional Housing Program (including singles not in a living-learning community) or you were unable to get the space you wanted during the Living-Learning community housing selection, your Room Selection will take place on Friday, May 10, 2013 on the 2nd floor of the SSC. Students choose rooms based on their lottery number and must have a roommate at this time.
*Note: Students who are in need of a medical room, must provide appropriate documentation to Counseling & Health Services prior to Lottery Week. Students in need of a medical room must also setup a separate appointment PRIOR to housing selection to discuss your housing options.
Commuters and/or Graduate Students who would like to live on campus must contact Lisa Tufariello, Residence Life Coordinator via email or at 914-654-5316 to set up an appointment separately.
