Living at CNR

Vacation Housing

Vacation housing is generally available during Intersession, Spring Break, Senior Week, and Summer Sessions I and II. There is an extra fee for vacation housing periods, and there are no guest privileges during these times. Details regarding the specific vacation housing regulations can be found in the Residence Life Handbook as well as in vacation bulletins. Vacation housing is normally not available during the Thanksgiving vacation, between Christmas and New Year’s Day, from Holy Thursday through Easter Sunday, or after the end of the last SAS/SN Summer Session.

Intersession

Intersession housing is based on availability. Generally, a section of one residence hall may be set aside for intersession housing.  Intersession housing includes the time between New Year’s Day and the beginning of the Spring Semester. Eligibility for Intersession housing (offered at an additional cost) includes international student status, CNR course enrollment, or campus employment.  Intersession housing, when available, must be reserved in advance at the Office of Student Development.

Students staying as part of an authorized group, such as an athletic team, are required to have their supervisor or coach submit a roster of approved students to the Student Development Office.  In addition, the students must submit an Intersession Housing Application.

To request Intersession housing, you may submit your online application.

Spring Break

As with Intersession housing, Spring Break housing is based on availability. Generally, a section of one residence hall may be set aside for this purpose. Eligibility for Spring Break housing (offered at an additional cost) includes international student status, continuing CNR academic requirements (such as student teaching), or campus employment.
